Process
Getting right into the process for this one, I originally wanted a group artwork, but decided on just Mayo after the sketching phase. The composition felt nicer with her only, so I went forward with that. My workflow for art consists of a sketch, then colour on top of that lineart. This was one of the first artworks for her, so I had wanted to give her a bit of a personality while also just showcasing her and her outfit. I picked the vibrant colours to almost ricochet off her personality. Maya is a very bubbly-happy person and the very spring atmosphere I believe reflects that.
