Process
Research was an absolute must for this project as getting the most integral parts of the city to express it was important. I wanted to showcase the port life with all the boats, buoys, and waterscape which all complimented the architecture. I found Newport was focused on beautiful architecture, waterways, and monuments. With all the parts researched, I moved on to thumbnailing out different ideas and choosing two to further go through with. After, I refined the illustration until I was happy with the design and finally got to drawing and inking the final piece. Here are the bustling waters of Newport with lavish architecture and fantastic waters.
